Recently, Oliver had the privilege of visiting some of the most prestigious estates, including Chateau Margaux and Chateau Lafite Rothschild, to taste the highly anticipated 2022 En Primeur wines. At Le Clos, we have unparalleled access to the world’s most coveted wines and spirits. Oliver Dixon, our Head of Fine Wine recently visited some of the iconic châteaux of Bordeaux and had the privilege to meet the makers to learn all about their recent 2022 vintage – heralded to be one of the finest in recent years.

On its journey to excellence, Lynch-Bages has reached a remarkable milestone with the production of its inaugural vintage in the state-of-the-art winemaking facilities designed by architect Chien Chung Pei.

Episode 4. Château Cos d’Estournel

Continuing his visit of the most iconic châteaux of Bordeaux, Oliver Dixon, Head of Fine Wine at Le Clos meets with Charles Thomas, Commercial Director of Château Cos d’Estournel.
Inspired by its founder’s passion for India, Cos d’Estournel’s unique architectural style has made it an icon amongst the châteaux of Bordeaux. Located on the southern border of Saint-Estèphe, the vineyard’s grapes - some of the oldest vine plants date back to the early 20th century - produce deep and structured wines, as a testament to the incomparable complexity of the vineyard’s soil.

Episode 5. Château Figeac

Angélus has been the life work of eight generations of the Boüard de Laforest family. From being classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1954 to embracing innovation under Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, the pursuit of winemaking excellence continues with Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, Co-owner & CEO. With vineyards dating back to the 12th Century, Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the most renowned wineries globally. As a First Growth in the 1855 Classification, it has a rich history of excellence.
